These sponges are a great alternative to using plastic/polymer sponges for dish washing. I cut the sponges in half to accommodate my smaller hands, which actually doubles how many sponges I get for the price. After the sponge is past its useful life, I’ll toss it into my compost. The sponge itself is soft and easy on glass; however, I have to use something else to scrub my cast iron and stainless steel cookware. The sponge is too soft for scrubbing but for general cleaning, it does a terrific job.

At first, I was not sure if they will be soft enough to do dishes. They get pretty soft and feel like the size of a regular sponge in my hand. 100% recommended.

You can’t go wrong with these loofah sponges. They are packaged well and of excellent quality.

Can’t say enough good words about this product. It took a little time to break-in (initially it didn’t generate enough foams when using with soap). But after a few washes, it does get soften and very foamy when using with soap. And it is also very easy to wash off the foam and dry it out. Definitely would buy it again!

They’re OK for a few weeks or so, then they start to fall apart. But they do the job well for the period of time before they just give it up.

I have been purchasing coconut husk sponges for a while now and, as they start fall apart after like two scrubs and clog the sink and coconut threads start clinging to my serrated knives, I tell myself I’m helping the world. When natural sponges were recommended to me I figure, eh, they can’t be worse and I’m already frustrated so why not.

And, oh, these are SO good that I don’t even have to justify why I’m using them. A gentle scrub, good foam – I will say that they do not hold as much foam/washing up liquid as a traditional sponge as they are more porous but that’s easy than work with, no stink, very quick to dry, NO shedding or falling apart. I’m two months into my first – right when I’d need to reply a coconut one as I do dishes daily and do not have a dishwasher – and it looks as new. Will absolutely keep using these.

They clean well enough, although not as well as a plastic scrubber. They do tend to thin out at pressure points and will also eventually start shedding little shreds onto your dishes. So, they aren’t very tough, but I like them well enough.

We’ve been using these now for about 5 or 6 years, when I began looking for a replacement for Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges. I love that these are a natural, renewable, long lasting, and most importantly, biodegradable product. The best part? They work extremely well. There is just enough abrasion to scrub out light to medium tough stains (for tough baked on stains, I still use a stainless steel scrubbie!) I do not miss those Scotch-Brite sponges at all. If your looking to replace those, this is the best alternative.

We tried a cheaper version of this with a different shape but found ourselves coming back and rebuying. After switching over to a more environmentally-friendly option, this is a product we could swear by. Great value and lasts us a couple of months at least. Does not scratch and very easy to use and reuse 🙂

At first, this sponge didn’t seem to be working as good as we had hoped, but after a few rinses in hot water and squeezing it, the sponge started lathering up as expected and worked well with our dishes. It does take a little bit more scrubbing with the sponge to get stuck on food off the dishes with this, but it gets the job done. So far, it is lasting longer than some of the other “environmentally safe” sponges we have tried out in the past, so that’s great!

These loofahs last a long time compared to other sponges I’ve used and I think they look a lot nicer too

Simply the best clean sponges I ever had! Absolutely must have!

I’ve been looking to replace sponges with any sort of plastic and I found just that! I love that it’s biodegradable and plant based.
I like that they’re are thin but durable. It has a little loop so I can hang to dry. Initially, it’s very hard and stiff but once you start using it they get soft pretty quick.
I would say it’s not able to scrub away as well as the heavy duty plastic sponges so I do have to put more pressure on.

Was looking for something that was not a sponge holding germs..found this, but not quite what I need..a little hard to hold and rough on hands.

    Little underwhelming. Very flat. Small.
They’re not bad. I’ve used the regular loofas cut down to a useable size for kitchen use. They are more porous, easier to wash out, stronger.
I wish these were a little larger and a little less smooth. But not a bad product overall.

I used a rubber sponge for years now, but I wanted to try something with an actual scrub to it, but didn’t hurt the planet. So far I’m happy with these. I have had for maybe two weeks now. It’s still in good shape. I have yet to use the other two till 1st falls apart. I’m happy.

Amazing little sewn bits of plants. I’m impressed and pleasantly surprised by how much I like this particular eco friendly swap from chemically plastic sponges that are bad for the earth and us. Even my husband has made a point of praising the new dish sponge and I’m sorry I took so long to try something like these. Make sure to soak them before use to avoid scratches but otherwise as my husband says “ I like these you should get more”. Lol, They last longer, have no chemicals scent, work well on all dish types so far without issue. Good for the pocket ( last long), the planet, and the person. Plus the company looks sustainable. Doesn’t really lather well but heck I’m sold on this earth friendly swap and so is my family. Just trying to do a tiny bit for the earth but it’s nice when it’s good for you too. Will buy again

This is my favorite product of everything I have ever purchased from Amazon. I was really done trying all brands of sponges /scrubbers looking for one that would not stink after some days; I would clean and disinfect them at the end of each day but nothing ever worked, also my hands were getting very dry, I assume from the harsh materials. I had been thinking of loofah as an alternative but I did not think I would find it that easily; you see, loofah as a dish scrubber or to exfoliate your face and body, was already a thing many years ago before I was born in my country, so I was very happy to see it available here. I purchased 2 packages, and will continue to buy more. My pots and dishes look clean and shiny, no weird smells around my kitchen. An yes, I kept one loofah to exfoliate my face, that’s how gentle they are.

These are pretty good, but I find that they dont hold soap very long even if I’m not constantly running it underwater. So it can be pretty wasteful. I’ve used thinner loofah slices before on my dishes that have worked much better than these but I like that they scrub well without leaving any scratches at all.
